Retrospective study of post-operative care in pandemic in tertiary care centre

Background: COVID-19 pandemic has unfortunately changed the surgical interventions and post-operative management worldwide. Most of medical institutes in India had formulated their own protocols from beginning March 2020 to stop all elective procedures as soon possible. However emergencies types obstetric cases were not stopped it was unavoidable conditions.Methods: This retrospective observational study done department obstetrics gynaecology, at Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College, Ariyur, Puducherry, during period April 2020-December 2020. Data collected case sheets operative notes analysis done.Results: On analysing we have realised that LSCS rate higher induction for trial labour kept minimal. We 3 infective morbidity form wound infection 1 patient returned operation theatre reexploration. Arranging blood also a tedious task.Conclusions: In present era pandemic, where load is high, can rely on post graduate students look after patients through effective communication with available consultants.
